presented by Construction in Indian Country
The Construction in Indian Country Conference will feature an awards program to highlight and recognize outstanding Native American owned firms, construction completed in Indian country or corporations that have substantially contributed to the enhancement of Tribal communities.
Outstanding Community Enrichment Award
This award will honor any outstanding contributor, project, or company that has overall enriched or made a positive impact on a Native American Community. If a project is nominated, it must have been completed in dates outlined.
Outstanding Design and Planning Award
This award will be presented to a project, architectural design team, community, Master Planner, or company that has enhanced Indian Country through innovative or artistic construction.
Outstanding Construction Award
This award will be presented to a project, Builder, Prime-Contractor OR Sub-Contractor that has enhanced Indian Country through innovative or artistic/innovative construction.
Lasting Impact Legacy Award
The final award will honor any individual, entity, initiative or project that has made a lasting, positive impact on tribal communities or executed a tribute to sacred land.
Any construction project must be built or planned on Tribal lands or serving tribal communities.
The construction completion date must be by May 31, 2019.
All project submissions must be received by August 30, 2019 for consideration.
Projects with a poor safety record will not be considered for recognition.
Project size is not necessarily criteria, however positive impact on the community will be considered.
A native-owned or non-native owned firm/company with an outstanding safety record and
recognized as a contributor to construction on tribal lands or projects serving tribal communities.
A nonprofit organization that serves tribal communities. Organizations that enhances,
promotes, develops or contributes to the construction industry on tribal lands or serving tribal
Outstanding Individuals that contribute to tribal construction projects or communities to benefit the industry and community at-large. Areas to include, but not limited to: economic development, leadership, design/architecture, contracting, engineering, procurement, policy, etc.
An outstanding construction project or development that serves the tribal community. Areas to recognize include, but not limited to: design/architecture, master planning, engineering, construction, etc.
